Mike's
Sky Rancho- The sounds of engine revving early
this morning as the sun rose above the surrounding
peaks here in Baja was the epic scene.
IT
WAS ANNOUNCED THIS MORNING HERE AT MIKE'S
SKY RANCHO THAT CADILLAC BOB & LOVELY
LINDA HAVE ANNOUNCED THAT THEY WILL GET MARRIED
ON OCTOBER 29, 2004. AND THIS IS NO JOKE...AFTER
THEIR FIRST TRIP TO THE BAJA PENINSULA TOGETHER
THEY HAVE TOLD EVERYONE THEY WILL WED LATE
THIS YEAR!!!!
The
riders have many cobwebs to shake loose from
last night's fiesta and no doubt the 175 miles
today will put them to the test. We are off
on another adventure this morning heading
back to RSV!

2:45 PM- Laguna Hanson |
Laguna
Hanson - The ride from Mike's was uneventful
for the support crew, however the three groups
were led off on separate single tracks for
a first fueling at VDT at the new Pemex. JoeHauler
had to pull his tank and adjust a carb jet
along with a host of other small problems
with various riders. After a one hour stop
we were on the way to KM 78 for the second
fueling. However, a new Honda 4-Stroke had
a problem and blew the tranny...so he could
not proceed and was loaded into the Toyota
Tundra as Los Hermanos Locos was making tracks
for the top of the mountains at Laguna Hanson.
At KM 56 ... GUNNY sucked up a big ass stick
in his NO-NAME/OFF-BRAND TIRES, which rendered
him DOWN. Wild Bill and Gunny filled it full
of plugs and we put hammer down heading on
the road up the mountain...We are now in the
National Park at Laguna Hanson and awaiting
the fueling of all the bikes. Baja Seve has
just arrived with his group of 10 and they
have been fueled by the Cardiff Kid and they
are heading towards RSV for the finale. We
are awaiting the arrival of the other 35 riders
for fueling and we will be on the way to RSV....
| Frijolero
has earned his Los Hermanos Locos stripes
this weekend and full initiation will
occur at the next trip!!! Sergio has
stepped it up and kicked ass all weekend
as the Los Hermanos Locos have!!! |
| SUNDAY-
7:00 PM- SOMEWHERE IN BAJA |
Somewhere
between here and there: The
latest adventure has us holed up and stopped
on the top of a ridge while a crew of other
support vehicles attempt to get Gunny's underpowered
Ford Ranger off the side of the sand wash
hillside where he has it buried to the frame
per Joe Spawn!!! Allededly it's been reported
that the front wheel is up hanging and the
rear end is buried deep...he was attempting
to exit the sandwash and made a run at the
hill, but fell off the downside and he's jacked
up!!! Meanwhile, we have started a fire in
the middle of the dirt road, eaten canned
Spaghetti and Meatballs and await the arrival
of all these support trucks counted to be
five in total!
We
are on a trail heading towards the El Compadre
trail which will leads us back to Rancho Santa
Veronica. It's always an adventure!!!! We
have 9 able-bodied males, 3 females and two
kids-JoeHauler's kids!!! We need no assistance,
we will get going soon and back on the trail!

IN----GUNNY HAS ROLLED HIS RANGER .... NO
INJURIES AS IT WAS STUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE
SAND WASH AND WHEN THEY TOWED IT BACKWARDS
OFF THE HILL IT ROLLED OVER UNOCCUPIED....GUNNY
WENT TURTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
