This year’s ride will be somewhat different than previous years in that it will be an "unsupported" ride. This means we will not...

Kent Kroeker posted the following on Race-Dezert.com. It is the best I've read on the entire situation. Kent is a former U.S. Marine pilot and was active in Score Class 30 motorcycle racing before he started KORE and now races Class 8 trucks. I am flattered he used our chance encounter in a hospital ER as an opener for his essay, after I was robbed at gunpoint in Baja in December 2002. I think...

After many months of hard work Rudy and I have launched what we hope to be the leader in preserving access to Baja’s vast beauty.
The concept of Racers and Ranchers began last year while riding south of Colonet. If you know Rudy and have ridden with him then you have stopped and witnessed him talk to many locals in every corner of...

The amount of erosion these storms brought is one of the more amazing things I've seen. Many areas are unrecognizable, roads completely wiped out and entire valleys washed away. The cross over from Valley T to San Vicente was most spectacular. The San Matias entrance into Mike's is OK. The back road into Mike's from Valley T is a mess. Even HWY 3 between Ojos and Valley T is torn up - the pot...

I am helping out on a ride from Santa Veronica, well actually Rancho Ojai to San Felipe, to Mike's and back. I have been trying to watch all the reports coming out of the area, but was hoping for some new up to date info. Like how much if any snow left in Sawmill area, how high rivers and creeks are, etc....... We will be riding Feb 12 - 15th.
Thanks in advance

Radek Burkat and Andrew Krynen, from British Columbia, Canada, raced the 2008 Baja 1000 as first timers in Class 30. They have assembled an impressive documentary in 3 episodes that can be viewed here:

Really cool - a "Baja Racing 101" that is a keeper. Crack open a couple of Pacificos and enjoy.

I just received an email from Bill and Kaye at Rancho Santa Marta in San Vincente. The bridge went down this morning on the nrth side of town. The river waters are still very high. No one on Hwy 1 can pass in either direction.
The orphanage sustained a flash flood, a couple of the houses were damaged as well as many of the roofs by the severe winds. Some of the kids had to be moved to other...
